Asfar Jutt and Mahmood Khan were declared Mr and Junior Mr Lahore
after a close contest here at jam-packed Alhamra Hall on Sunday.
Organized by the Lahore Bodybuilding Association and sponsored by
Anti-Narcotics Department, the 59th Mr and Junior Mr Lahore Competition
was contested by over 150 musclemen from over 300 clubs of the city.
Jan Mohammad, secretary LBA organized the competitions while president
and former Mr Asia Yahya Butt performed the duties of judge along with
Shahid Butt and Mohamamd Naeem. Competitions were held in three junior
weight categories while contests were witnessed in five senior classes with
each class having at least five bodybuilders.
Mahmood Khan, who won the Junior Mr Lahore title, edged aside Mohammad
Sabir and Zulfiqar. Mahmood was competing in 65 kgs weight class while
Sabir contested in 60 kgs weight while Zulfiqar came out winner in 65-plus
weight.
In the Mr Lahore competition, Asfar, who was winner of the 85 kgs weight
category, faced tough competition from Imran Bhatti winner for 65 kgs class,
Mohamamd Imran (70 kgs), Syed Aqeel Raza (75 kgs and Yousuf Khan (80 kgs).
Asfar, after being named Mr Lahore, pocketed Rs 100,000 and a trophy in prize
money while cash award was also given to Junior Mr Lahore Mahmood Khan.
